About the programme

We are now living in a strange world, causing a shift in our lives we never expected. The worlwide spread of the Covid pandemic has resulted in big changes to many aspects of our work, social and health care focus.

We now faces challenges which we need be strong to overcome. Some of us now work from home, see friends and family less and overseas travel is much more difficult.

The main thing we need to focus on, is that which we can control: our HEALTH.

We believe in healing and protection from within. If you have a healthy body, you will be better equipped to withstand whatever life throws at you; physically and mentally. We all know the feeling of being overwhelmed by stress, which can be so overpowering can cause us to sabotage ourselves and makes things worse.

It could be drinking too much alcohol, resulting in a constantly foggy head, increased body fat and decline in health.

Data provides evidence of changes in alcohol use and associated consequences during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to a range of negative physical health associations, excessive alcohol use may lead to or worsen existing mental health problems, such as anxiety or depression.

Poor diet choices also compound these negative side effects. The decline in exercise due to the shift in work patterns and life stress, has also had a big impact on our health.

The focus of this bootcamp has now shifted from vanity to longevity. You will lose bodyfat and become leaner as a result of this bootcamp, but the emphasis is on your Immunity and well being. We measure your weight and bodyfat to allow us to track improvements, but no longer place a high emphasis on this.

Our goal is to improve your ability to overcome the challenges you are facing and will face through improving both your physical and mental health. Healthy body = Healthy Mind.

About the trainer

Christian Vila founded the Kettlebell Bootcamps twelve years ago, which now has three bootcamps each year, running alongside the popular Brighton Kettlebells classes which has four classes a week at three locations in Brighton & Hove.


Christian has been in the health & fitness industry since 1998. He has a passion for training and helping others achieve their fitness goals. After graduating with a BA (Hons) Sports Science, he has had the best training in this industry possible, leading to a level 3 Personal Training qualification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

He discovered Kettlebell training six years ago, and believes this is one of the most powerful training tools available. He trains with Kettlebells at least three times a week, alongside running, weight lifting, Brazilian JiuJitsu, Paddleboarding and cycling.

Having trained under Steve Cotter, Angie Dowds and Mike Mahler, Christian has attained the best qualifications in Kettlebell training, including the IKFF CKT.

Christian is a regular contributor to Mens Fitness magazine and has featured in various industry publications.
